I practise think that the Support Community might exist simply the place for you to notice some assistance, though. I did a quick search and we have several users here with the same device as you. I know none of them have happened beyond this mail service even so, but it might be worth chiming in on a few of theirs?

As I have mentioned, this is not working while on WIFI and turning WIFI off defeats the purpose considering now my data is being used quickly. I am on 2GB data program and for the terminal month It was used chop-chop.

I was honestly but calling that out as a potential indicator that messaging with this device may not piece of work over WiFi. 😕 I tin't say for sure, since we don't retail this device, merely I thought it might be worth noting that y'all're not the showtime user to have difficulty with this -- information technology might exist worth checking in there to ask if the OP ever sorted that upshot out and was able to later on all! 😊
Hmmm... it worked for me, I'k distressing! Are you able to visit their main Support site: Home - Motorola Support ? If you curl down to the bottom, you lot can run across their Customs information in that location.
This is definitely not to say that you lot shouldn't ask the question hither, though! I still think information technology couldn't hurt for you to seek out some of the other users who do have this device with their TMO accounts and meet if they have any suggestions -- information technology's merely been a few days without a response, so I thought doing a search for existing posts might help! 😊
I talked to Motorola support and it seems this is something that needs to exist resolved between Motorola and Tmobile.
Instead of you guys to telling me to turn the wifi off, you should assemble with Motorola and solve the problem.

I have had multiple phones all bought through the carrier and sms/mms over wifi has never worked. All that it can exercise is temporarily disable your wifi and enable your data to send the sms/mms which actually defeats the purpose of it.
I've got the same problem with the same device Moto G5S+. I've had the phone for a long while - probably more than than a year, and this is a recent phenomenon - mayhap within the last month or and so (Aug/Sep 2018).
I tin not send/receive MMS or group text on MOTO G5 Plus while on WIFI either at abode or at work. I take tried every proposition regarding APN settings and naught works.
Im having the same issue on my unlock MotoRazor 5G, while using wifi im not getting my mms message or outlook emails, but when i disabled wifi i get all my MMS messages and outlook emails. Its actually abrasive. Android software version is ten
I'one thousand having the same outcome. I had this consequence in the by and downloading some other app stock-still it. Now, I tin can't send or receive texts over wifi.
